What To Do Before the Storm
- Secure your home; check hurricane shutters, roof, doors and windows.
- Compile a disaster kit (eg. Canned food, water, candles etc.)
- Draft a disaster plan and determine your escape route to the nearest shelter.
- If your home is prone to flooding or storm surge, make alternative plans to stay at another location.
- Locate a safe room in your home to ride out the storm.
- Plan now for the safety of your pets.
